Dr. Christopher Maroon

After practicing outside the Hampton Roads area for several years, Dr. Christopher Maroon, DDS joined ‘The Foleck Center’ in 2021.  Dr. Maroon tries to make every patient interaction a comfortable experience and enjoys building a strong rapport with his patients.  He strives for excellence in the work that he does and is trained in the most state-of-the-art dental technologies, techniques and materials.

Dr. Maroon grew up in Virginia Beach – a graduate of Frank W. Cox High School.   He completed his undergraduate education at Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor’s in biology.  His interest in the biological sciences led him to Georgetown University where he completed his Masters of Science in Physiology and Biophysics.  From there, he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. 

Dr. Maroon has completed extensive post graduate and continued education training in the areas of cosmetics, endodontics, laser dentistry and occlusion/TMD.  In 2022 he earned a certificate of proficiency from the American Board of Laser Surgery.  He is trained to complete restorations, gingival and restorative procedures using Biolase technology.  In 2023, he completed continuing education courses in dental aesthetics with Dr. Michael Apa and the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.  In 2024 and 2025, Dr. Maroon completed a ‘mini-residency’ with the esteemed Dawson Academy.  He is a Dawson trained dentist in the fields of occlusion, TMD treatment, and full mouth rehabilitation.   

Dr. Maroon is part of a large family with strong ties to the Hampton Roads area.  He has two brothers and a sister whom he is very close to.  He is a proud uncle to his three nephews and niece.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing and watching sports, and his many hobbies.

Dr. Maroon is an active member of the Tidewater Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
